Nil Sarrafiye, Grand Bazaar
Designing inside the Grand Bazaar means entering a conversation with more than five centuries of architectural memory. We wanted to show respect without imitation.

On the façade, natural stone and solid timber connect directly with the historic fabric of the bazaar. Arched display windows make a simple, contemporary reference to its vaulted streets.
Inside, marble counters, dark timber panelling and metal details convey trust and prestige. Customer flow is clear and display areas are defined in a calm, controlled way.
Lighting sits at the heart of the project. It brings out the sparkle of the jewellery without tiring the overall atmosphere, so the space never competes with the product.
Key decisions
- Arched windows referencing the bazaar's vaults
- Lighting that flatters the jewellery, not the room
- A trustworthy palette of marble, dark timber and metal
This project was designed and delivered together with the FEINE team.
